As we expand, we need a skilled and motivated Senior Front-End Developer to drive technical excellence in our product’s front-end development. Our growth has been significant, and we are looking for leaders to continue our journey with the support of Visma, a leading European tech company.

The Role and team

The Senior Front-End Developer will be responsible for our Angular application, working closely with the Tech Lead to make decisions on front-end architecture and solutions. You will be implementing scalable and user-friendly front-end code within a diverse team of 12 (7 developers, 2 QA engineers, 5 nationalities!), all working together in Utrecht. We are data-driven and are fully invested in AI as part of the tech stack and way of working. We work with innovative technologies and are focused on fast-paced delivery of software that makes an impact. We follow Agile and Scrum methodologies, utilize Clean Architecture, and embrace AI-powered development.

Important priorities include designing highly usable solutions, ensuring the application stays current with the latest Angular versions, and fostering a collaborative development environment. You will play a crucial role in mentoring other junior and medior front-end developers and sharing knowledge across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the Dialog Angular application, ensuring high quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with the Tech Lead on front-end architecture and solution design.
  • Implement scalable, robust, and user-friendly front-end code.
  • Mentor and support junior and medior front-end developers, fostering their growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct code reviews and promote front-end best practices within the team.
  • Ensure the application is regularly upgraded to the latest Angular versions (currently Angular 17, with ongoing upgrades planned).
  • Proactively identify and address front-end technical challenges, implementing effective solutions.
  • Work closely with product managers and designers to translate user value into actionable technical plans and execute them with the team.
  • Stay updated with the latest front-end technologies and trends, and apply them to improve our systems.

What You’ll Bring

  • Completed Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5-7 years of dedicated front-end software development experience, demonstrating autonomy and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Deep understanding of front-end development principles, architecture, and best practices.
  • Expertise with Angular and Typescript.
  • Experience with front-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress).
  • Experience with Bootstrap.
  • Experience with Akita for state management.
  • A strong commitment to building a platform with excellent usability for end-users, with a focus on effective solutions and taking initiative.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support other developers.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • A proactive, results-oriented approach and a strong sense of initiative.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
  • Based in or willing to commute to Utrecht, The Netherlands.
  • Experience with .NET backend code or C# is a plus, but not a requirement.
